Overview__________________________________________We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Full-Time Substitute Teacher to join our educational team for grades 6-12. This position involves providing instructional support and maintaining a positive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. The successful candidate will engage with students in various subjects, ensuring continuity in the learning process and fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.Roles & Responsibilities____________________________The position includes but is not limited to these primary areas of *****Deliver engaging and effective lessons in the absence of the regular teacher across various subjects within the 6-12 grade levels.Utilize provided lesson plans, resources, and materials to meet academic objectives.Establish and maintain a conducive learning environment by implementing effective classroom management strategies.Enforce school policies and procedures to maintain order and discipline.Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere that encourages active student participation.Address individual learning needs and differentiate instruction as needed.Collaborate with other educators, administrators, and support staff to ensure seamless coordination during teacher absences.Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to provide updates on student progress and behavior.Attend staff meetings, workshops, and training sessions to stay current on educational best practices and school policies.Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth.Adapt to different teaching styles, grade levels, and subject matters as required.Respond positively to last-minute changes and adjustments.Qualifications _____________________________Applicants should have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a substitute in an educational setting.Applicants must possess either an associates degree or a bachelors degree.In addition, the successful candidate will *****The ability and desire to work collaboratively on a high-functioning team.Excellent people skillsExcellent oral and written communication skills in English, as well as proper phone and email etiquetteStrong problem solving and organizational skillsThe desire to be a part of a learning communityPossess a strong working knowledge of Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Calendar, Google Classroom and ZoomBe adept at learning new software and technology.
