SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Assistant Division Manager and Supervisor of the HVAC/Electrical teams to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in management of personnel and customer relations. He or she will also ideally have experience in commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Electrical service and installation knowledge is a plus.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Coach and mentor team members, providing ongoing training and development. • Perform hands-on tasks when necessary, ensuring all work meets company standards and industry regulations.• ONE-CALL Division Leadership:o Work with the Division Manager to assist in the design and implementation of service division values, policies, marketing plans, and the overall business model. o Identify and implement processes, team development plans and operational improvements for the HVAC and Electrical teams.o Manage day-to-day operations of the One Call division in the absence of the Service Manager. o Attend meetings when requested for Service Team training, Ranger safety training, Ranger staff, other trade teams or subcontractors as requested.o Participate as needed with Ranger Construction management on planning and implementing company policies and procedures and employee retention activities.· Oversee dispatch and scheduling with the assistance of the One-Call Coordinator: o Serve as a point of contact for customers requesting HVAC and electrical service, quotes, site visits, billing clarification and more, by offering prompt, courteous and helpful response. o Manage the documentation of work order information for requested service, assuring that all information is updated regularly to the Field Techs logs and work orders created. o Remain familiar with the scope and details of the HVAC and electrical work orders throughout the life of the work order and respond proactively as it relates to Field Techs assigned, equipment needed, permitting and scheduling required. o Develop new customers for the HVAC and Electrical team and assist with overall customer development for the division. o Oversee the closing of work orders in a timely manner by notifying customers of the completed status and results, securing the required information onto the log if needed, and updating the appropriate trade log. o Assist with closing completed work orders for billing and assist with late payment collections when requested. o Collaborate with AP/AR Specialist to assure that all customer billing and contact information in Spectrum is maintained, correct and current if needed. • Administrate HVAC and Electrical Trade Quotes:o Oversee the scheduling of site visits with the customer and assign Field Techs.o Assist in the creation of quotes and manage the progress of the quotes on the HVAC and Electrical trade team logs, ensuring they are accurate and timely. o Review details of quotes with Field Techs to create consistent pricing methods. o Remain familiar with the details of approved work order scopes so that the scope can be clearly explained to the customer within the quote body and so that implementation of the work order can happen effectively. o Approve the written quote document and send quote out to the customer. • Oversee the Preventative Maintenance plans for all HVAC and Electrical trades:o Manage the assignment of PM quotes to Field Techs and track the quote request until returned from the field.o Ensure accurate completion of required information in the PM agreement and PM quotes being sent out to customers.o Review quotes that are approved to assure agreement signatures, system set up and data entry on the correct work order spread sheet.o Manage the review of PM Agreements and their associated work orders and spread sheets in regard to customer information, equipment detail, resolution and location information to keep it as current as is possible.o Create and maintain annual PM business growth goals and strategies for building the PM customer baseo Prepare and report to management financial reports detailing the historical and budgeted performance status of the electrical and HVAC trade groups; be proactive in proposing adjustments to pricing, staffing and operational methods to improve financial performance of the trades.• Trade Team Staff Leadershipo Schedule and lead (1) weekly meeting with the HVAC and Electrical Field Techs to review work order scopes, scheduling needs and day to day processes and development.o Schedule (1-2) field visits per week in order meet with Field Techs and/or customers to develop a greater understand of the HVAC and electrical trades as it relates quote compilation, workplace environments and work order progress.o Provide quarterly reports on the HVAC and electrical teams' growth and potential goals• Personal Responsibilitieso Arrive to team meetings, Ranger sponsored events and daily appointments on time and prepared.o Respond to teammates, leaders and customers with an attitude of flexibility, humility, service, excellence professionalism.o Cultivate an environment of ownership and unity as it relates to other trade teams, team members, staff and Ranger Construction in general.o Remain available and respond promptly to teammates, leaders and customers.o Strive to be proactive in recognizing potential problems, suggesting solutions and personally solving those problems when possible.o Remain open to input, personal development and professional training.o Maintain a professional image regarding your appearance, vehicles and dialogue.Desired Experience: Ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of management experience.Ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the HVAC, trade or commercial construction industry.Bachelor's degree a plus.Experienced with use of technology to manage the service and personnel management processes.Strong computer and keyboard skillsMust be skilled in use of Excel and Microsoft business programs. Experience with SmartSheet or be capable of learning and utilizing it quickly.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a timeCompensation:· $80,000 - $90,000 annual salary · Annual Bonus Program based on division performance.
