Maintenance Technician - 2nd ShiftLocation: 230 2nd Street, Downers Grove, Illinois 60515Pay:Starting at $34/HR (can go higher for those with more experience)Shift Hours: Shift starts at 1:45 PM - Finish (typically between 10:00 PM and 2:00 AM). Please note that starting times and hours may vary depending on coverage needs due to report-offs and the production schedule, especially during holidays. Currently, the schedule involves working six days per week, with efforts to rotate and maintain a five-day workweek when possible. Saturday work is required, typically involving 10-12-hour shifts, with 8-hour shifts on other days. Holiday work is also required.Key Responsibilities:Equipment Maintenance: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment, including troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Electrical Systems: Troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480 volts, ensuring safe and efficient operation.Fluid Power Systems: Maintain and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems to ensure optimal performance.Mechanical Systems: Service and repair mechanical components such as conveyors and packaging equipment.Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs): Experience with VFDs is required.Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs): Experience with PLCs, particularly Allen Bradley systems, is required.Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.Qualifications:Experience: Proven experience in industrial maintenance, with a focus on electrical troubleshooting up to 480 volts, fluid power systems, and mechanical systems such as conveyors and packaging equipment.Technical Skills: Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.Certifications: Relevant technical certifications are a plus.Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in various environmental conditions, including temperature extremes and high places.Benefits:Professional Development: Opportunities for tuition assistance and certification support from day one.Career Advancement: Merit-based pay increases are awarded based on demonstrated skills and abilities, without waiting for annual evaluations.Work Environment: Join a facility with a family-oriented culture, where many employees have tenures exceeding 30 years.
