We are seeking a talented Project Manager to join our team. This position is open to candidates in either Northern or Southern California. The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in managing public and private real estate development and capital portfolio projects and have comprehensive knowledge of the real estate development lifecycle, approval processes, and regulations.The Project Manager will develop strong client relationships, acting as a central point of contact, working closely with internal stakeholder and external partners to streamline communication, drive efficient decision-making, and maximize the value and performance of the client's real estate assets. You ensure the successful execution of capital projects from concept to completion, managing resources effectively, and ensuring project goals are achieved with excellence. If you thrive in a fun and fast-paced environment, want to shape the direction of your career, help expand a growing business, and are focused on delivering exceptional results, then consider joining Epicus Group.Project Manager responsibilities may include:Planning phase activities including stakeholder engagement, needs assessment, business case development, budgeting, entitlement management, project team solicitations and formation, programming, project execution plan preparation, meetings, presentations and project kick-off.Design and construction phase management. Coordination with the design team to ensure conformance with approved program and budget. Oversee agency approvals. Construction coordination and administration as needed including meetings, progress reporting, RFI/submittals, cost control, schedule management, FF&E and stakeholder/end user management.Engage with clients, city officials, architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants.Project administration including resource management, contracts, documents, financial forecasting and cost control, invoicing, issue resolution and decision making.Motivate and direct internal project resources. Maintain effective communication with clients and the project team, including reporting and managing meetings.Continuously monitor project budgets and schedules, providing meaningful financial and schedule analysis. Review and analyze potential changes, offering solutions as needed.Manage the project close-out process to ensure successful completion.Support business development efforts, assisting with RFQ/RFP responses, proposals, presentations, interviews and contract negotiations. Ensure seamless transition from business development efforts to project execution.Participate in networking and industry events to expand contacts, build brand awareness, and establish the company's presence for project and construction management services.Qualifications:3 to 5+ years of experience as an owner's representative, project manager, construction manager or developer, in the real estate, facilities, design or construction industry.Bachelors or Associates degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, business, or related field.Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or LEED AP is desired.Preferred project or construction management experience with Fortune 500 corporate real estate/facilities organizations and/or California public sector projects.Experience in the Southern California market, having strong relationships with clients, design firms, general contractors and stakeholders (utilities, community outreach, etc.)Knowledge of the real estate development lifecycle, approval processes, and regulations, from programming, entitlement and design through construction and operations.Highly motivated, ambitious and demonstrated business acumen, with a track record of exceeding targets. Expert at building relationships and earning trust.Detail-oriented and analytical, excellent communication skills, strong organization and time management skills, and ability to operate independently.Advanced MS Office computer skills (Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint).Familiar with project management tools and systems such as ProCore, P6 and BlueBeam.Reside in Southern California, preferably San Diego or Orange Counties. Hybrid position.Ability to travel as required to project locations, meet with clients and attend industry events.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
