The Store Development Manager will play an important role in planning and execution of new store openings, renovations and ongoing facilities management. You will be responsible for managing the setup and organization of project information, coordinating with internal and external teams, and overall store development process. The Store Development Manager will report directly to the Director of Store Planning Development and Operations.Responsibilities Collaborate with the Milan HQ team on store design and development, including renovations and expansions.Oversee the design process from initial concepts to completion, proposing new ideas and materials.Assist the Legal department with lease reviews and obtain necessary approvals and permitsAllocate resources and assign tasks to project managers and contractors.Build and maintain relationships with contractors and vendors.Coordinate with internal teams (Operations, Retail, IT) to align project timelines and incorporate team requirements.Ensure store execution aligns with brand standards and requirements.Manage the bidding process, contracts with vendors, and supplier deliverables.Deliver projects on time and within budget, proposing solutions to address challenges.Manage and track project costs, including creating detailed budgets and closing out completed projects.Monitor project progress and communicate updates to leadership.Troubleshoot technical issues, present technology options, and manage changes.Monitor and analyze competitors retail strategies, sharing findings with local management.Manage maintenance for all the retail store network.Travel as needed to visit project sites.Independent, problem-solving, and collaborative work style.Stay updated on industry trends to identify potential challenges and opportunities.Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.QualificationsBachelors Degree8-10 years of experience: Working in retail store planning and design, specifically within high-end fashion.Technical proficiency: Strong command of architecture software like AutoCAD and project management tools like MS Project.Construction knowledge: Ability to review and modify construction blueprints as needed.Global experience: Experience collaborating with international vendors.Problem-solving: Ability to find solutions quickly and effectively, even under tight deadlines.Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with a keen eye for detail.Project management: Strong organizational and leadership skills, with a proven ability to solve problems.Travel readiness: Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Golden includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role.
