Job Details Watertown Headquarters - Watertown, MA Accounting 4 Year Degree Negligible Any Accounting Description Olympia is looking for an individual ready to make their next step in their career and join our finance team. This role requires deep financial knowledge, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across departments. Summary: Ensure accurate financial closings and statements, manage and optimize cash flow, and oversee all payments (accounts payable and deposits). Responsibilities include preparing payroll journals, managing the general ledger, handling contractor payments, managing Wheaton Van Line settlements, maintaining the Move Ware operating system related to accounting functions, and troubleshooting issues. Oversee budgets and year-end tasks like depreciation schedules and state tax filings. Ensure compliance with GAAP and risk management, maximizing profits and mitigating risks. Provide financial reports to senior managers to improve operational efficiency and support growth. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Review financial postings, handle accruals, reconcile balance sheets, and prepare allocations. Prepare payroll journals, manage GL mapping, and handle contractor payments. Optimize cash flow, reconcile cash daily, and manage accounts payable. Oversee Wheaton Van Line settlements and reconciliations. Maintain the Move Ware system and troubleshoot issues. Prepare and oversee budgets, handle depreciation schedules, and manage state tax filings. Review commercial insurance bills and ensure accurate chargebacks. Reconcile insurance activity to quoted premiums. Qualifications/Skills: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred. Experience in cash flow management, financial closing, payroll, and general ledger accounting. Proficiency with accounting software (Move Ware, Paycom) and Microsoft Office. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities. Strong communication skills and knowledge of state and local tax regulations. Salary based on experience starting at minimum of $130K annually plus a comprehensive and cost effective benefit package.
