Apply today!Non-automotive, non-union, diverse manufacturer is seeking a Quality Supervisor to assist them in developing and improving quality systems at the Brighton, Michigan site. As the Quality Supervisor, you will give daily direction to two Quality Inspectors and will report to the Plant Manager. Daily responsibilities will include:Develop and improve the site quality systemEnsure that the floor is running smoothly and confirm that tests and audits are completed in a timely mannerTroubleshoot quality issues, including completing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actionsUtilize formal problem solving techniquesDevelop and improve work instructionsComplete supplier audits and work with suppliers to minimize quality issuesOversee and perform lab activities and testingCommunicate with engineering on non-conformancesSupport the Plant Manager on any customer quality issuesTravel to suppliers and customers as needed to complete analysis and auditsParticipate in cross-functional teams to meet production and improve quality standardsUtilize the companys ERP system to document quality processesAdditional tasks as assigned by managementThe company is seeking a candidate that enjoys spending up to 80% of their day in the lab and on the manufacturing floor. This is a hands-on position that will perform daily audits and tests to ensure quality conformance. Candidates should be able to take ownership of quality projects, lead by example, have excellent communication skills and be able to build relationships with team members and operations. The company offers competitive medical benefits, 401K match of 100% up to 5%, and an annual 10% bonus potential!REQUIREMENTS for the Quality Supervisor:1. Minimum of a high school diploma or GED2. At least 5-8 years of similar manufacturing quality experience3. Experience working in machining environments with tight tolerances4. "‹Experience providing daily direction to others5. Formal problem solving skills6. Experience participating in root cause analysis and corrective actions7. Experience participating in quality audits8. Experience utilizing inspection hand tools and lab equipment9. Microsoft Office, including Word and ExcelSkills preferred but NOT required:1. Job shop environments, specifically low volume, high mix manufacturing environments2. ISO or TS quality certification3. Supplier quality experience4. CMM programming software, such as PC-DMIS or Calypso5.
