Role: Sr. IT Procurement SpecialistLocation: Abbott Park, IL Duration: 9 MonthsResponsible for executing purchasing and supply management strategies, working closely with customers, divisions, and Category Managers. Manage purchasing processes, including PO conversion, approvals (up to $1,000,000), and supplier integration. Led complex RFPs, developed category-specific purchasing strategies, and drove cost savings and supplier partnerships. Resolve operational issues and invoice errors, and provided guidance on procurement processes, contract reviews, and negotiations. Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation in procurement processes.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in procurement or category managementExperience in IT Procurement, particularly Telecom and IT NetworkingStrong negotiation, project management, and communication skillsExpertise in contract management and supplier relationship buildingProficient in SAP Ariba and Excel
