Structural Analysis EngineerCastelion is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer to use analytical methods, finite element models/simulations, and other analysis tools to produce models, perform analysis, calculations, data reduction, and correlate test results for structures. This role would be responsible for closely collaborating with the design and manufacturing teams to produce designs that meet performance, manufacturability, and schedule requirements.ResponsibilitiesUtilize first principle approaches with a good general knowledge of metallics and composite structures.Develop GFEM (Global Finite Element Models) and DFEM (Detail Finite Element Models).Write Margins of Safety (MoS) for various candidate materials and make recommendations to designers to improve geometries.Create and maintain material properties database for use in commercial FEA code simulations.Plan and execute ground static and dynamic test of complex mechanisms and structures.Build axisymmetric FEM models of complex aerospace structural assemblies.Develop internal processes for performing structural analysis and be willing to instruct design engineers in simplified stress analysis.Basic Qualifications3-5 years of direct experience.Experience with thermal/pressure load coupling.Proficiency in a commercial structural analysis code (FEMAP, ANSYS, HyperMesh, Abaqus).Understanding of basic coding (Python, MATLAB).Entry-level experience with a commercial CAD code (SolidWorks, NX, Autodesk).All employees are granted long-term stock incentives as part of their employment as Castelion.
