Akkodis is seeking an Sr. Frontend UI Developer for a direct full time job opportunity with a client located in the New York City. Local candidates are needed as this is an onsite position 2-3 days each week from the start. The Sr. Frontend UI Developer will work on a mission-critical system, where you will be responsible for both upgrading existing applications and developing new web applications that meet the highest standards of performance, security, and scalability.Salary Range: $145-155K base, competitive benefits offering and more Sr. Frontend UI Developer - job responsibilities include:Design, develop, and maintain web applications using full-stack technologies including REACT.js, Node.js, Next.js and Java. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Upgrade and refactor existing applications to improve functionality and performance. Write clean, scalable, and efficient code that follows best practices. Develop RESTful APIs and integrate backend services. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software. Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure compliance with coding standards. Basic understanding of good UX/UI design to implement intuitive user interfaces. Ensure the reliability, availability, and security of mission-critical systems. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and apply them to improve development processes and software quality. Required experience includes:7+ years' experience as a Full Stack Developer with strong experience with REACT.js and Node.js. Hands-on experience with Next.js. Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.Proficient in Java for back-end development. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). Knowledge of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and experience with database management. Understanding of server-side rendering, n-tier architecture, Single-page App Model, microservices architecture, and cloud computing (AWS). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong communication and collaboration skills. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience. Qualifications desired:Experience with .NET is a plus but not required, moving .NET frontends to React.Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
