We have an exciting opportunity based in Novi, MI, for a skilled Mechanical Estimator specializing in conveyor systems within the automotive manufacturing industry. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work both on-site and remotely.Develop precise cost estimates for Materials Handling Systems, including body welding, paint, and assembly lines.Conduct engineering analysis to design efficient and dependable material handling systems that align with client expectations.Contribute to the design and development of innovative conveyor systems and related equipment.Provide detailed cost evaluations for mechanical and structural components and assist in the preparation of bid proposals.Work closely with customer engineers to gather system requirements and translate them into effective technical specifications.Identify and evaluate cost-effective material handling solutions that meet project requirements while optimizing budget constraints.*****Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating costs for mechanical and structural components of material handling systems.Proven ability to perform engineering studies and develop systems tailored to customer needs.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project.Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred, although candidates with equivalent experience will be considered.If you are ready to take on a dynamic role that challenges your expertise in conveyor systems and cost estimation, we look forward to receiving your application!
