Quality Control Fiber Technician

We are looking for an experienced Fiber Technician that understands the installation, maintenance and repair of fiber cabling and splicing. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of fiber infrastructure and oversee the installation process as well as provide quality control. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work in the field, ensuring that our telecommunications infrastructure operates efficiently and effectively.ResponsibilitiesInspect the installation, repair, and maintenance of fiber optic networks conducted by a 3rd party contractors.Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment such as an ohmmeter for testing and diagnostics.Conduct field service operations to ensure optimal performance of telecommunication systems.Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety standards.Document all work that is inspected and maintain accurate records of installations and repairs.Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.RequirementsMust be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and a good driving recordHigh school diploma or equivalentPhysical ability to lift up to 50lbs, kneel, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periodsAbility to distinguish colors as required for the job and work outdoors most of the timeBackground check, MVR, and drug test required*Consideration will be considered to individuals with quality control backgrounds in related industries.
