We are seeking a skilled Environmental Engineer to ensure environmental compliance and support sustainable practices at the facilities of a leading tech organization in the Sunnyvale/Mountain View area. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in environmental regulations and a proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced research and development environment. This role involves leading and executing tasks across multiple environmental areas, including air quality, hazardous waste, wastewater, stormwater, and hazardous materials management.This is currently slated to be an 8-10 month contract. Core **Develop and deliver environmental-specific training programs.Provide support for incident and emergency response activities.Conduct routine waste disposal inspections and manage hazardous waste removal, including the preparation of RCRA waste manifests.Assess facility operations for regulatory obligations, including but not limited to SPCC plans and air permitting.Maintain chemical inventory for HMBP and EPCRA reporting.Prepare and submit wastewater discharge monitoring reports.Compile and complete routine environmental reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.Collaborate with health and safety teams, lab personnel, facilities staff, and cross-functional partners to evaluate new tools, processes, and equipment for environmental permit implications.Oversee environmental compliance efforts for California locations, including reporting, facility inspections, and process reviews.Prioritize hazardous waste management, with a secondary focus on water compliance.Ensure proper chemical storage, management, and waste disposal practices.Leverage knowledge of hazardous materials and waste to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.Minimum **5+ years of experience in environmental compliance assurance.Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Studies, or a related field.Proficiency in managing multiple environmental programs and site hazardous waste services.Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations, particularly those related to hazardous materials management, air permitting, industrial wastewater permitting, stormwater, and waste management.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Pride Global offers eligible employee's comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance and employee discounts with preferred vendors.
