A brand-new facility is being assembled in Columbus, OH.POSITION SUMMARYWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Salvagnini Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming and optimizing our Salvagnini machines using the STREAM software. This is a great opportunity for an individual with a strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes, experience with Salvagnini machinery, and proficiency in programming using advanced software tools.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE Programming and Setup:Program Salvagnini machines (P4, L3, B3, etc.) using STREAM software to create efficient cutting, punching, and bending operations.Ensure machine programs are optimized for material utilization, cycle times, and overall production efficiency.Configure machine parameters and simulate production runs to verify program accuracy and performance.Technical Support and Troubleshooting:Provide troubleshooting support for machine and program-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolution of technical challenges.Work closely with the production team to fine-tune machine setups and processes for optimal performance.Collaboration:Collaborate with engineers and designers to interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and customer specifications, ensuring that the final programs meet all requirements.Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure smooth transitions from programming to production.Continuous Improvement:Monitor machine performance and suggest improvements to enhance machine efficiency, reduce waste, and improve part quality.Keep up to date with the latest features and updates within the STREAM software and Salvagnini technology to enhance programming and machine capabilities.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate records of machine programs, material usage, and production results.Document programming steps and changes, ensuring full traceability and compliance with industry standards.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Experience:Proven experience programming Salvagnini machines, specifically using STREAM software or similar systems.Experience in sheet metal fabrication, including knowledge of cutting, punching, and bending processes.Strong understanding of machine functions, parameters, and control systems.Skills:Proficiency in using STREAM software for machine programming and simulation.Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and blueprints.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.Education:A degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.Relevant certifications or training in Salvagnini machinery and STREAM software is a plus.Please submit your resume to Laura Gonzalez at lgonzalez@ for confidential consideration.
