complexity.We are seeking a Senior Presales Technical Engineer to help enterprises modernize their database infrastructure, guiding them through TiDB's unique advantages in distributed SQL, scalability, and real-time analytics.Key Responsibilities:Pre-sales Engagement:Work with the sales team to qualify prospects and understand customer needs by analyzing their technical requirements.Lead technical discovery sessions, offering expert insights on TiDB's capabilities and benefits, focusing on the customer's business and technical challenges.Design tailored solutions for customer use cases, drawing on your deep understanding of distributed systems, databases, and cloud computing.Conduct product demonstrations, present solution architecture proposals, and lead proof-of-concept (PoC) efforts, showcasing TiDB's ability to solve real-world customer problems.Educate prospects and customers on best practices for integrating TiDB with existing applications, databases, and infrastructure.Solutions Architecture and Design:Guide customers through the design and deployment of hybrid transactional and analytical databases, ensuring scalability, availability, and performance.Design and document comprehensive architectural solutions for customer implementations, covering both short-term and long-term needs.Develop tailored, best-practice recommendations for customers based on specific industry use cases, such as fintech, e-commerce, SaaS, and more.Provide technical leadership and expertise in aligning TiDB with customer goals, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.Post-Sales Support & Enablement:Support customers throughout their implementation process, helping them solve complex technical challenges and optimize their use of TiDB.Assist backend developers, database administrators, and project owners in troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing TiDB database integrations.Work closely with customer teams to ensure smooth migrations from legacy databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) to TiDB, ensuring minimal disruption and seamless operations.Provide ongoing technical support during the implementation phase, ensuring that solutions are running efficiently and that customer teams are empowered to operate TiDB successfully.Customer Relationship & Technical Evangelism:Build lasting relationships with customers, becoming a trusted advisor who advocates for their success.Participate in technical workshops, webinars, and customer training sessions to enable customers to fully utilize TiDB's capabilities.Create and share technical content, such as whitepapers, blog posts, and case studies, to highlight best practices and customer success stories.Collaborate with the product management and engineering teams, providing feedback from the field and helping shape the future direction of TiDB based on customer needs.Collaboration Across Teams:Collaborate with the sales, product, engineering, and customer success teams to ensure seamless customer experience from initial engagement to ongoing support.Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing efforts, mentoring junior engineers and helping the team stay up to date with the latest TiDB features and best practices.Required Qualifications:15+ years of hands-on IT experience with 10+ years in database technologiesPreferably open-source contributor for MySQL, PostgreSQL etc., database technologies7 to 12 years of experience in presales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting, focusing on databases, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure.Strong expertise in relational databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle) and distributed database architectures.Experience with NoSQL and NewSQL solutions (e.g., MongoDB, HBase, SingleStore, CockroachDB, YugabyteDB).Hands-on experience with real-time data processing frameworks (Kafka, Flink, Spark, Hadoop).Understanding of multi-region replication, distributed transactions, and ACID compliance in large-scale databases.Hands-on experience with performance tuning, database scalability, high availability, and cloud-native deployments.Knowledge of database internals, query optimization, indexing, replication, and shardingStrong experience in solutions architecture and designing complex database and application architectures, preferably in cloud-native environments.Expertise with distributed SQL databases (TiDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.) and understanding of OLTP and OLAP workloads and optimize them for cloud environments.Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and understanding of cloud-native architecture and deployment strategies.Strong understanding of DevOps, Kubernetes, and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).Familiarity with networking and system administration in Linux environments.Experience with database management and performance tuning for high-availability, distributed systems, and real-time analytics.Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences (including C-level executives).Hands-on experience with scripting languages (Python, Go, Shell, etc.) to automate tasks and integrate TiDB with other technologies.Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience working with TiDB, SingleStore, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar technologies.MySQL or PostgreSQL experience with advanced database configurations (replication, sharding, partitioning).Experience working in highly regulated industries (e.g., fintech, healthcare) or
