Endeavor Hotel Group, LLC is currently seeking a motivated individual to join their team as the Director of Sales for the Wyndham Executive Center, located in Columbia, Missouri!The Director of Sales is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the hotels sales operations. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities, a deep understanding of sales methodologies, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. The Director of Sales reports directly to the General Manager and collaborates closely with senior management to achieve revenue goals and enhance client satisfaction.Essential Skills & Duties:Sales Strategy and Execution:Develop comprehensive sales strategies aligned with the hotel's business objectives to maximize revenue generation and market penetration.Implement strategic initiatives to target key market segments and drive sales growth.Monitor industry trends, competitive activities, and market conditions to identify opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.Lead the sales team in setting ambitious yet achievable sales targets and ensuring timely execution of sales plans.Client Relationship Management:Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and potential clients to understand their business needs and position the hotels offerings effectively.Conduct regular client meetings and presentations to showcase the hotel's capabilities, address client concerns, and explore opportunities for expanding partnerships.Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless delivery of services and exceed client expectations.Team Leadership and Development:Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities to enhance team members' sales skills, product knowledge, and customer relationship management abilities.Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance evaluations, and reward outstanding achievements.Sales Performance Analysis and Reporting:Utilize data analytics and sales metrics to track performance against sales goals, identify trends, and forecast future sales projections.Prepare comprehensive sales reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and actionable insights.Recommend strategic adjustments to sales tactics, pricing strategies, and promotional activities based on data-driven analysis.Collaboration and Coordination:Work closely with the marketing, revenue management, and operations teams to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.Coordinate promotional campaigns, special events, and cross-functional initiatives to drive sales and enhance brand visibility.Act as a liaison between sales, operations, and other departments to ensure cohesive communication and execution of strategic initiatives.Various other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisorThe ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:B.A. degree in Business, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field (preferred)Proven track record of success in sales or a related field, with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.Large conference center sales experience- corporate sales experienceStrong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).High level of organization and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Knowledge of the local market and industry trends.Demonstrated skills in leading a diverse team with varying degrees of experienceAbility to teach and inspire team members to be their best every dayMust have a flexible schedule to work during days, nights, weekends, and some holidays as neededFood and beverage knowledge and experience is a plus.About Endeavor Inn & Suites:The Wyndham Executive Center is located in Columbia, MO, and is committed to providing its staff with a positive and fulfilling workplace by providing the support needed to ensure their guests receive incomparable guest service and amenities.Job Type: Full-timePay: $85,000.00 per yearBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftEvening shiftMonday to FridayNight shiftWeekends as neededWork Location: In person
