The E-commerce Business Manager will play a pivotal role in driving online sales, optimizing our WordPress/WooCommerce website, and managing the end-to-end e-commerce strategy. This is an independent and highly entrepreneurial role where you will have ownership of e-commerce operations, from product uploads to SEO to content management and customer service. You will lead efforts to grow traffic, conversions, and overall ROI while ensuring every customer interaction reflects the expertise of Sod Solutions in the Turfgrass Industry. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive e-commerce strategy to scale revenue and achieve financial targets.Optimize the website for maximum conversion rates, ROI, and a seamless user experience. Monitor and analyze e-commerce performance metrics, including traffic, average order value, units per transaction, and conversion rates, using analytics tools like Google Analytics. Conduct regular A/B testing and implement data-driven improvements to UX/UI. Oversee product updates and accuracy of descriptions, images, and SEO strategies to increase organic visibility and search.Collaborate with the marketing team for driving traffic to the website and the development team on enhancements or bug fixes. Create and manage an Amazon storefront and product listings.Work across business segments and collaborate effectively to accomplish company-wide goals. Oversee daily operations including inventory management, order processing, shipment tracking, customer support, product reviews, payment processing and monitoring fraudulent activities. Ensure exceptional customer service, managing inquiries, and resolving issues with efficiency and care. Track and report on KPIs such as sales, conversion rates, and customer retention. Manage the customer support workflow and ensure timely responses to all questions and concerns. Experience:5+ years of experience in e-commerce business operations or a related role.Strong knowledge of inventory management, order processing, and customer service best practices.Hands-on experience with Shopify, WooCommerce, and/or WordPress.Familiarity with Google Analytics, Amazon, Metorik, Klaviyo, HubSpot, Zapier, and FreshDesk is a plus.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess performance and optimize operations.Ability to work cross-functionally with teams, ensuring business alignment and execution.Excellent organizational and communication skills.Ability to adapt to new e-commerce trends and technologies.Additional Information:We prefer this role to be local but are open to this being remote/hybrid for the right candidate. This position reports to the Director of Technology Services & Operations.Office hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Eastern. It is expected to be available during normal business hours.This is a salaried job with a "get it done" perspective and hours can vary with priorities, travel, possible trade show attendance, etc. This is a full time position with benefits.Our company provides an open and friendly work environment.
