This role involves working closely with engineers to design reliable and efficient PCBs while adhering to industry standards and best practices. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-speed, mixed-signal designs with significant RF content and will play a key role in the development, layout, and documentation of PCB designs.Key *Design and layout PCBs using Altium Designer, including schematics, component creation, and layout.Apply design rules based on stackup, impedance, IPC specifications, DFM/DFX feedback, and best practices.Break out dense BGA pinouts, optimize layout to minimize layers, and improve component placement.Work closely with engineers on floor planning, layout optimizations, and feedback integration.Manage Altium library databases, creating and maintaining components, symbols, and footprints.Prepare Altium documentation for final assembly and fab packages, and release to the PLM system.Create PCB sub-panel arrays to optimize image count and panel utilization.Utilize CAD CAM processing tools to identify and resolve DFM issues before final fab package release.Coordinate DFM/DFX reviews with fabrication houses and contract manufacturers to resolve issues.Adhere to IPC class standards for reliable, long-lasting designs.Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field (preferred).Proven experience with Altium Designer, including schematic capture, layout, component creation, and library management.Strong understanding of PCB design and the application of electronics principles to layout work.Proficient in setting up Altium design rules based on various inputs (stackup, impedance, IPC, etc.).Hands-on experience with breakout of dense BGA pinouts and layer optimization.Experience preparing and releasing documentation, including part BOMs, schematics, and fab packages, to a PLM system.Ability to create PCB sub-panel arrays and optimize for panel utilization.Preferred ***Demonstrated experience designing high-speed, mixed-signal PCBs with significant RF content.Knowledge of migrating Altium part libraries to Altium 365 cloud part libraries.Experience with DFM/DFX coordination and reviews with fabricators and manufacturers.
