They will provide financial support for relocating.Job DescriptionOur client is the premier manufacturer and supplier of axles, suspension, brakes, doors, venting products, trailer parts, accessories, and towing components serving the commercial trailer, RV, heavy-duty, marine, agriculture, and manufactured housing markets has an opportunity for an Industrial Automation Engineer at our manufacturing facility located onsite in Elkhart, IN or Albion, IN.Headquartered in Elkhart, Indiana, our client has manufacturing and distribution locations throughout the U.S. and Canada. Employing state-of-the-art robotics, precision welding equipment, and automated machining processes, our client has achieved many years of success through a commitment to the principles of superior quality, continuous improvement, and unparalleled customer service.Reporting to the Director of CIP and Automation, the Manufacturing Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing and interpreting data from manufacturing processes to optimize operations, enhance efficiency, and support decision-making in automated environments.Key Responsibilities:Process Analysis: Evaluate current production processes and workflows to identify opportunities for automation and improvement.System Design: Design, implement, and optimize automated systems and processes to enhance efficiency and minimize manual labor.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate automation technologies, such as robotics and software solutions, into existing systems.Feasibility Studies: Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for potential automation projects.Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and standard operating procedures.Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate the performance and reliability of automated systems, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal operation.Training and Support: Provide training and ongoing support to staff on new automated systems and processes.Industry Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in automation and industrial engineering.Dashboard Development: Develop and maintain dynamic dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress over time.Trend Identification: Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in production data to recommend actionable improvements.Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and operations teams to implement data-driven strategies for process optimization and continuous improvement.Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing opportunities for automation and efficiency gains.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.5 years related experience; or an equivalent in combination of education and experience.Proven experience in industrial engineering converting manual processes to automated.Ideal candidates will have a background working in a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of automation technologies, including PLCs, robotics, and process control systems.Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g., CAD, simulation software).Six Sigma Certification a plusEqual Opportunity EmployerOffers of employment are contingent upon successfully passing a background check and drug screen.
