Interested in joining a lean software team at one of the worlds most successful activist funds in NYC?This role will have you developing their firm-wide risk and analytics platform across all asset classes using distributed compute technologies. Its an opportunity to work on a lean technology team within their risk technology group which consists of circa 20 people. This position will allow you to collaborate with various trading desks and the quantitative development team, which is unique to most other firms in the space.Youll need to have excellent experience with C# (.Net core on Linux), Apache Spark, on-prem and AWS, as well as Kubernetes. They have a homegrown analytics platform which covers the entire tech stack providing end-to-end solutions, and the vast majority of their core platform is built in-house with the core development team being fully integrated with the rest of the development team. Additionally, this firm places a massive emphasis on computer science fundamentals, so having a university degree in this remit would give you a major advantage.This is a senior role within the business, so theyll need you to have a background working in the financial industry. Its a plus if youve gained experience with front office risk focusing on equities, rates, or credit.This is a contract role (long term) that offers you the chance to convert to full time after having worked for them for 12-18 months.
