Maintenance Technician

The position requires a valid Iowa driver's license, along with a good driving record. This position will perform work to keep machines, mechanical equipment, and the structure of the establishment in repair. Primary Duties/Responsibilities:Exhibit LDJ's core values and culture in all aspects of the job.General maintenance and repair of equipment, facilities, and buildings. Troubleshoot and repair AC and DC circuits, electrical sensors and switches, servo controllers, and safety circuits. Effectively use a variety of hand & power tools and operate a forklift.Understand and perform preventive maintenance on equipment. Proficient at reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Perform basic plumbing and carpentry work. Run conduit and pull wire. Performs additional related duties as assigned. Qualifications:Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems. Knowledge of PLC's and electrical principles. Ability to use testing equipment. Knowledge of safety practices such as lockout/tagout and proper PPE. Excellent troubleshooting, reasoning, analytical problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication skills, oral and written along with time management and organizational skills. HVAC knowledge a plus. Education and Experience:2-year degree or equivalent and/or 3 years' experience in a related field.
