The role requires substantial fieldwork and a strong understanding of fiber installation (both underground and aerial), as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Here's a breakdown of the key requirements and responsibilities for the position:Key Requirements:Experience:Proven experience in small cell deployment and fiber construction (not tower-related).Understanding of fiber splicing, testing specifications, and construction drawings.Experience with managing fiber construction projects from start to finish.Skills:Ability to conduct independent project assessments and execute tasks to completion.Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate construction progress reports and daily documentation.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Visio, etc.) and basic web application infrastructure.Experience with Google Earth, Adobe Acrobat, and field measurement techniques for auditing and verification.Responsibilities:Deployment Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of small cell and fiber deployment, including site visits, contractor coordination, ordering power with utility companies, material procurement, and budget management.Field Oversight: Inspect and monitor the quality of fieldwork including excavation, cable installation, and site restoration. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.Project Planning: Coordinate work schedules with contractors, ensure compliance with construction plans, and make adjustments when needed for cost savings or field conditions.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain project records, including daily reports, as-built plans, and material inventories. Provide detailed status updates and project forecasts to stakeholders.Quality Control: Perform quality control checks on fieldwork, ensuring that construction standards and client specifications are met.Collaboration: Work closely with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all requirements.Warehouse and Inventory: Manage and document fiber inventory, including oversight of vendor outfitting and cable inventory management.Post-Construction Support: Participate in post-construction audits and site rides with utility companies for quality assurance.Working Conditions:Field Work: 90% of the role will involve travel to project sites, with potential exposure to heavy equipment and environmental conditions.Office Work: 10% of the time will be spent in an office setting, managing documentation and communication.
