A distinguished plaintiffs law firm based in the St. Louis area, specializing in mass tort litigation seeks an experienced mass tort paralegal. We arecurrently seeking an experienced and motivated mass tort litigation paralegal to join our team. This person must be able to support CST time zones and support the St. Louis Metropolitan Area. Hours are Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00pm, in office on Tuesdays, otherwise remote.Key Responsibilities Include:• Scheduling hearings, trials, meetings, and conference calls with attorneys• Coordinating depositions• Effectively communicating with clients to obtain relevant case related information and providing timely updateson their cases• Reviewing and evaluating cases for attorney review and filing• Filing cases both in state and federal courts• Reviewing and understanding MDL court orders• Managing case workflow within the firm's electronic case management system• Drafting lawsuit initiating pleadings and other pleadings, discovery responses, and other legal documents• Ensuring initial lawsuit documents are served timely• Preparing and submitting Plaintiff Fact Sheets and/or Plaintiff Profile Forms• Providing general support to attorneys and senior paralegals• Documenting all events and communications accurately and consistently within the firm's case managementsystem• Calendaring, managing and meeting deadlines for statutes of limitations and other case related deadlines underthe supervision of attorneys• Occasional in-person meetings at the courthouse for case-related matters.Qualifications:• At least 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal or legal assistant in litigation.• At least 2 years of mass tort experience• Knowledge of multi-district litigations (MDLs)• Proficiency with Smart Advocate case management platform preferred• Experience drafting and filing complaints and other pleadings in both state and federal courts• Competence in reviewing and summarizing medical information• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite• Experience in a law firm setting, preferably in mass tort or personal injury practice• Experience with RoundUp Litigation preferred* Exceptional attention to detail and superior organizational skills
