Job ***** IT PMO Portfolio Financial Analyst***** Poughkeepsie, NY***** 6+ MonthsJob ** The IT PMO Portfolio Financial Analyst is responsible for providing financial analysis and support within the Project Management Office (PMO). This role involves managing and analyzing financial data related to IT projects and portfolios, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy, and supporting decision-making processes. The analyst will work closely with project managers, finance teams, and senior leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective budget management.Key *Financial Analysis & * Conduct detailed financial analysis of IT project portfolios, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.Budget * Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals and objectives. Identify and address any financial risks or issues.Portfolio * Support the PMO in managing the IT project portfolio, including prioritization, resource allocation, and performance tracking. Assist in the development and maintenance of portfolio management processes and tools.Stakeholder * Collaborate with project managers, finance teams, and other stakeholders to gather financial data, provide insights, and support decision-making. Facilitate communication and coordination across teams.Process * Identify opportunities for process improvements within the PMO and financial management practices. Implement best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Compliance & * Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations. Support governance activities related to IT project financial management.*Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.3+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or portfolio management, preferably within an IT or PMO environment.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.Proficiency in financial management software and tools (e.g., Excel, SAP, PPM, PowerBI).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., PMP, Agile, JIRA) is a plus.Preferred **Advanced degree (MBA, Master's in Finance) or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA).Experience with IT project financial management and portfolio analysis.Familiarity with IT governance and compliance frameworks.
