Clayton Services is searching for a Project Engineer to join a thriving company inNorthwest Houston. The Project Engineer will prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects.Job Type: Direct HirePay Rate: $85,000-$95,000/yearBenefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO, and more.Project Engineer Responsibilities:Formulating project parameters, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring the project teamInteracting with clients, identifying their needs and requirements, and representing them in the fieldPerforming quality control tasks on budget, schedules, plan, and personnel performance, and reporting on the status of the projectCollaborating and communicating with the project manager and senior engineers to efficiently and effectively manage the projects profitabilityReviewing any engineering tasks and initiating corrective actions as neededDeveloping specifications and RFQs for the project equipment needsCreating purchase ordersAnalyzing sub-vendor bids and providing recommendations to procurementMonitoring and expediting specific packages with sub-vendorsCreating frameworks to measure the projects metrics and data collectionEstablishing field test methods and methods for monitoring the quality of those testsEnsuring the projects compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specificationsOther duties as assignedProject Engineer Skills and Abilities:Ability to work with multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent organizational and time management skillsExcellent leadership and decision-making skillsExcellent communication skillsTeam player and dependableExcellent computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, ERP systems, AutoCAD, etc.Project Engineer Education and Experience:Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or a related field required5+ years of experience as a project engineer requiredExperience with bulk material handling of dry and liquid materials, weighing, dosing, and batchingExperience with PFD and P&ID developmentExperience with pneumatic conveying systems (dilute & dense phase technology)Experience with dust abatement equipment, compressors & PD blowers, heat exchangersExperience with belt and screw conveyors, vibrators, screen separatorsExperience with compounders, cyclones, filters, rotary valves, diverter valves, LIW feeders, scales, silos, weigh hoppers, structural steel platforms, bagging/packaging equipment, and PLC process control systemsValid Texas Drivers LicenseMust be legally authorized to work in the United StatesProject Engineer - This position will require travel, and the estimated amount is 25%-30%, with the occasional overnight trip.
