OverviewWe are seeking a Construction Coordinator with experience in Fiber and/or CoAx construction to support rural broadband projects. This role is a mix of fieldwork (70%) and remote administrative tasks (30%), ensuring construction projects are properly audited, documented, and completed. The ideal candidate has experience with Sphere/P2, cable maintenance, and milestone tracking.QualificationsExperience in fiber and coax construction is required. (Must have coax construction experience, not just fiber.)Prior experience with Sphere/P2is highly preferred.Prior experience as a Cable Maintenance Technician is a plus.Strong ability to work independently, as the team is spread across multiple locations.Willingness to travel to rural broadband sites (potentially 2+ hours away) and stay overnight when necessary.Proficiency in milestone tracking tools.Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.Key ResponsibilitiesField Audits & Quality Control (70%)Conduct audits on construction projects, ensuring compliance and accuracy.Verify audit rework completion and validate field quality control.Travel to rural broadband sites, sometimes requiring overnight stays (hotel provided).Complete necessary paperwork and reporting for each audit.Project Management & WorkflowCreate and manage jobs in tracking database, ensuring full lifecycle tracking and milestone updates.Issue jobs to design teams and track progress through completion.Handle exceptions and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).Perform job reconciliation in-office when needed.Stakeholder Coordination & CommunicationServe as a primary contact for internal teams, including BOC, CPM, FPM, and Sales.Provide reports and updates to senior leadership, including weekly calls with the VP of Construction.Rotate through the phone bridge line (one day a week or less) to confirm job completion and assign roles.Be available 8 AM - 5 PM for troubleshooting and clearing jobs.Financial & Material ManagementCreate and approve funding requests and purchase orders.Manage materials, contracts, and financial estimates for projects.Ensure proper documentation and reconciliation of funding and materials.Administrative & Milestone Quality ControlFollow admin QC checklists to ensure compliance with project standards.Validate permits, invoices, materials, pictures, and footage for project completion.Ensure all milestones are updated and jobs are closed properly.This role offers a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same, making it a great opportunity for someone who thrives on adaptability and independence.
