Robert Half is working with an apparel company in the hiring of an experienced Vice President of Operations to take a lead role in overseeing all operational functions, ensuring the organization operates efficiently and effectively. Reporting directly to the owners of the company, this individual will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations while supporting the overall strategic goals of the company. The VP of Operations will work collaboratively across all areas of the organization, implementing policies, driving process improvements, and contributing to the long-term success and growth of the business.Primary Responsibilities:Oversee and direct the daily business operations to ensure smooth and efficient functionality across the organization.Lead the management and administration of employee benefits programs, ensuring alignment with employee needs and organizational offerings as well as regulatory compliance.Build and maintain strong relationships with logistics partners, ensuring consistent supply chain reliability and cost-effectiveness.Act as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong client relationships through excellent communication, problem-solving, and service delivery.Oversee all aspects of contract management, including the negotiation, execution, and monitoring of agreements to ensure alignment with company objectives.Manage and oversee the company's technology infrastructure, ensuring all systems are optimized to support business operations effectively. This includes the implementation, maintenance, and advancement of technology solutions relevant to the organization.Collaborate with the finance team to address urgent financial matters, monitor operational budgets, and ensure the financial well-being of the company's operations.Develop and implement organizational policies and procedures to improve overall operational performance and align with industry best practices.Evaluate current business processes and workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement to streamline operations and enhance productivity.Lead risk management initiatives to protect the company from operational risks and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.Work closely with the owners to develop and execute strategic plans aligned with the company's growth objectives.Oversee and guide hiring, training, and performance management activities to build and maintain a high-performing operations team.Maintain a forward-looking perspective to identify opportunities for innovation and growth while addressing potential challenges proactively.Qualifications:A bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field is required. A master's degree is considered a plus.A strong track record of success in operations management, with at least 8-10 years of progressive leadership experience.Industry-specific experience in wholesale or retail, with a preferred emphasis on the apparel sector. This includes familiarity with supply chain operations, product distribution, and inventory management.Demonstrated expertise in technology solutions, including operational software systems (e.g., ERP, CRM), and the ability to oversee their implementation and maintenance.Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with employees, clients, and external stakeholders.Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop a team while cultivating a positive, productive workplace culture.Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to addressing challenges and driving successful outcomes.Proactive, adaptable, and results-oriented, with a hands-on approach to leadership and project execution.Preferred Characteristics:The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking leader with a passion for operational strategy and the ability to influence positive change throughout the organization.
