Mechanical Design Engineer

Required Skills & Experience-Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering- 8+ years experience in Mechanical Design - specifically supporting Federal Industrial Projects- HVAC System Design- AutoCAD design/drafting experience-Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance.Nice to Have Skills & Experience- Professional Engineer (PE) license- Federal Experience in designing buildings with specific requirements (temperature, humidity, etc.)Job DescriptionMy client, a federally focused research and consulting firm, is looking for 2 Mechanical Design Support Engineers to support their federal customer in Indian Head, Maryland. This work is supporting a new, 5 year federal award for complete facility renovations in a complex, lab and industrial environment. Their day to day responsibilities will include technical reviews of design packages, preparing technical reports to summarize preventative maintenance status reports, and creation of long-term upgrade budgetary projections. This role is offering a competitive salary range of $100,000 - $180,000/year annually.
