Job ***** Staff Structural Designer** Staff Structural Designer Chesapeake, VA 23320Contract ** 10 MonthsPay * $40-$52/hrJob *We are seeking an experienced Staff Structural Designer with 5+ years of experience, proficient in Revit and familiar with building construction in the federal market. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be a U.S. citizen due to the nature of the work. Experience working with the Navy CAD standards is a plus. Some travel may be required throughout the year.Key *Develop detailed construction drawings for steel and reinforced concrete structures.Produce a full range of drawing production work, including design layouts and calculations.Execute designs for industrial, manufacturing, and federal projects, including new facilities and facility modifications.Perform 2D drafting and 3D modeling to develop engineering solutions.Prepare structural calculations, reports, and documentation.Interpret and apply design codes and specifications.Organize and maintain revisions of project drawings and related files.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and designers to resolve design issues.Required ** Bachelor's Degree in drafting technology (or related field) with 5 years of experience, OR Associate Degree with 6 years of experience, OR 9 years of progressive detailing and design experience.Software * Proficiency in Revit is required.
