NeuroRestorative Timber Ridge is a unique facility that provides cutting-edge treatment with the appropriate levels of supervision, supports and activities for each student so they can continue to learn and grow and return to a more successful home and school life.Our Special Education Teacher experiences:State of the art team teachingSmall class size every day - groups of 6 or lessQuality education services to children ages 5-18Daily access to Behavior Tech and Rehab Techs on campusDaily time blocks to complete all necessary documentation such as IEP due processes, services summaries, etc.Elimination of the usual Student Portfolio requirementTime to schedule parent-teacher conferences during the treatment review dayParaprofessional assistance for every classCollaborative teaching with an interprofessional team (i.e. speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, behavior coordinator, counselor, etc.)Continuous access to behavior intervention assistanceDuties may include:Coordinate carry-over strategies developed by the Pediatric teamAttend weekly clinical team meetings Complete all necessary documentation such as service summaries, IEP docs, etc. in a thorough and timely mannerSupervise and assist in the development and implementation of the education curriculumDevelop methods for evaluating student progress Meet with parents and students to provide guidance and seek solutions to problemsImplement the policy and procedure of the classroom environmentAttend all mandatory program/company trainingQualificationsBachelor's Degree with focus on Special Education along with Praxis Tests completion OR Master's Degree in Special Education K-12 One year of experience in classroom or tutorial settings; experience with special education preferredAbility to exercise sound judgment and discretion Commitment to the company's mission and valuesExceptional communication skills with an ability to establish trust and rapport quicklyA good listener with an ability to empathize while still providing guidance Why Join Us?Full, competitive compensation/benefits package for full-time employees401(k) with company match Paid time off and holiday payEmployer sponsored Teacher's CertificationEmployer sponsored CEUsEmployer sponsored Certified Brain Injury Specialist trainingEmployer sponsored Crisis Prevention Intervention (NCI) Certification trainingWe have meaningful work for you - come join our team - Apply Today!Sevita is a leading provider of home and community-based specialized health care.
