Position SummaryOur client is hiring for an Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. As an Early Childhood Teacher the ideal candidate will provide a safe and nurturing environment for children that encourage their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. In collaboration with the Demonstration School director and with the lead teacher design and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum according to the guidelines and key elements established by UWM and NAEYC.Essencial Duties and ResponsabilitiesTeacher/Child InteractionsProgramFaculty/Parent InteractionsUse Of **Responsible for using data and sharing with the families to individualize instructions and create action plans if needed.Take the lead in guiding the team in developing classroom goals and action plans***Keep abreast of the latest trends and research in the early childhood fieldKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesTeamworkDecision-Making AuthorityPhysical DemandsFollow state, federal, and UWMD guidelines.Be able to lift up to 40 pounds.Respond immediately and appropriately to multiple situations or emergencies; communicate incidents/accidents with supervisor(s) families and complete proper documentation.Maintain mental and physical alertness and an appropriate level of energy to perform essential job requirements.Bilingual preferred (Spanish, English)Education & ExperienceA minimum of a bachelors degree or equivalent in early childhood education, child development, elementary education, or early childhood special education that encompasses child development and learning of children birth through kindergarten; family and community relationships; observing, documenting, and assessing young children.Infant/Toddler CDA. 45 CDS hours/ 15 in-service hours per year.
