Counsel Press New York, NY locationis searching for a full time Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to join a seasoned team that is the backbone of our organization. This position reports to the Chief Technology Officer and provides hardware, software and maintenance support. This position also provides training, consultation and recommendations about future planning and development of IT for the company.Counsel Press is a nationwide legal services provider that annually assists over 1500 attorneys with the successful filing and service of over 11,000 appeals. The primary service provided to our attorney clients is the rule compliant filing of appellate briefs and records in the New York state appellate courts and United States Courts of Appeals.Experience with any legal work is not essential but can be helpful. It is important to demonstrate long term interest in the position and the capacity to meet the requirements of the position through experience and a willingness to be trained. As our technical expert for all operating systems in use, you will demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm while executing tasks in a timely and efficient manner. You will lead a team in migrating mission-critical applications and workloads from on-prem to Azure, ensuring a seamless, secure, and high-performance transition.Key Responsibilities:Lead the end-to-end migration of applications, databases, and workloads from on-premises to Azure Cloud.Design and implement Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments and infrastructure provisioning.Architect scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud solutions using Azure services (e.g., AKS, Azure Functions, App Services, Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts).Optimize cloud infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.Ensure cloud security, compliance, and governance best practices.Collaborate with software engineers, IT operations, and security teams to ensure smooth cloud adoption.Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Monitor, App Insights, and other observability tools.Mentor and coach junior DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of automation and continuous improvement.Required Skills & Experience:8+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, with a strong focus on Azure cloud.Proven expertise in on-prem to cloud migrations, including refactoring and re-platforming strategies.Strong knowledge of Azure infrastructure components (Networking, Virtual Machines, Storage, Security, etc.).Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and deployment automation.Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.Expertise in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) and orchestration (AKS).Experience in scripting & automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or YAML).Familiarity with cloud security frameworks (Zero Trust, Azure Security Center, IAM, RBAC, Key Vault).Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and cost.Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with a DevOps mindset.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Preferred Qualifications:Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-400, AZ-104, AZ-305) are highly desirable.Experience with hybrid cloud strategies (Azure Arc, ExpressRoute).Knowledge of databases and migration strategies (SQL, PostgreSQL, CosmosDB).Familiarity with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools.Job Type: Full-timePay: $150,000.00 - $170,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceAbility to Relocate:New York, NY 10016: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person, Hybrid 3-days a week
