This role is responsible for assessing project feasibility, including financial planning, conveyor architecture, cost estimation, resource allocation, and engineering strategy development. The specialist will support conveyor, automation, robotics, and facility operations across Body-in-White (BIW), General Assembly (GA), and Paint.Additionally, the role involves driving capital expenditure (CapEx) reduction, asset reutilization, and procurement strategies while collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve engineering and production objectives.Key Responsibilities:Evaluate project feasibility, including financial requirements, cost estimation, and conveyor system architecture.Develop engineering strategies and track progress of Vehicle Process Engineering launches.Assist in CapEx reduction efforts and asset reutilization initiatives.Maintain conveyor standards, specifications, sourcing roadmaps, and facility planning.Lead project management efforts, ensuring adherence to program timelines during the advanced project phase.Collaborate with the Pre-Study team on plant studies and feasibility assessments.Develop and manage digital dashboards using Power BI to track project metrics.Support production improvement initiatives, including Cost Deployment, Health & Safety, Continuous Improvement, Logistics, and People Development.Ensure compliance with engineering strategies and program management requirements.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or high school diploma (HSD) with 5+ years of experience in manufacturing and Vehicle Process Engineering (VPE).5+ years of engineering experience in project management.Expertise in cost forecasting, estimating, and resource planning.Strong understanding of conveyor systems, machine processes, and automation technologies.Proven leadership and communication skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional initiatives.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Access, SQL).Experience with Microsoft 365 tools, including Power BI, for data visualization and dashboard development.Self-motivated, innovative, and capable of implementing change within engineering and production operations.ALTEN Technology is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
