Tooling Manager

Exciting opportunity available in Northwestern Ohio for a Tooling Manager. This position will manage mold building and mold repair. It will be working with outside tooling vendors. The position will have 2 direct reports. ***** Must have at least 5 years of experience in Tooling Management or Tooling Engineering. At least 5 years of experience in plastic injection molding is required. Experience working with injection mold tooling and molds is a must. Take full control over repair and welfare of injection molds. Setup Preventative Maintenance Plans for all moldsDetermine Critical Spares InventoryResponsible for training and performance of Mold Technicians on all shiftsResponsible for managing day shift tool room techniciansManage all aspects of new tooling purchasing includingDFM ReviewRegular monitoring of build scheduleArranging raw materials for the testing of the toolEvaluating molded parts and suggesting steel changes to get parts in toleranceSupervising the installation and qualification of the new tools when they arrive in the plant.Assist project managers with 3d product design when neededAssist project managers by doing 3d prints when neededOther duties as assigned
