We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in our Oak Lawn or new Chicago office located at 910 W. Van Buren St. in the West Loop. In this role, you will oversee and manage architectural projects from concept through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves coordinating with clients, consultants, builders, and leading internal teams while managing all aspects of the project's scope, design, and construction activities. As Project Manager, Your Key Responsibilities Include:Project Management: · Lead and manage the overall execution of architectural projects, ensuring all phases from design through construction are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. · Develop detailed project schedules, track progress, and adjust resources as needed.Client Liaison: · Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and maintaining positive relationships.· Understand client needs and expectations, and ensure the project meets or exceeds these requirements.Team Coordination: · Coordinate with internal teams, including architects, designers, and technical staff, to ensure the design vision is carried through in the construction phase. · Foster collaboration among team members and external consultants to ensure smooth project execution.Consultant & Contractor Coordination: · Manage relationships with consultants, contractors, vendors, and other project team members. · Schedule and attend meetings, review deliverables, and address any project-related issues.Budget & Resource Management: · Develop, track, and manage project budgets. · Ensure the project remains within budgetary constraints by monitoring expenses, anticipating cost overruns, and implementing corrective measures when needed. Quality Control & Compliance: · Ensure all project documentation adheres to building codes, regulations, and industry standards. · Oversee construction administration to ensure the design intent is maintained and construction quality meets expectations.Documentation & Reporting: · Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, meeting notes, contracts, and change orders. · Ensure that all project milestones, decisions, and approvals are properly recorded.Leadership & Mentorship: · Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff, helping them develop their skills and ensuring project tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.JP Architects offers employees:1. Current and valid Architect's license (preferred)3. Strong understanding of architectural design processes, building codes, construction documents, and project delivery methods.4. Proven history of managing projects from inception to completion, delivering high-quality results.5. Strong organizational, time-management, and critical thinking skills.6. Ability to manage and communicate with team members and consultants. 7. Excellent communication, negotiation, and people skills.8. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining diligence.9. Ability to work in a challenging environment, meeting deadlines and overcoming challenges.10. LEED accreditation or other relevant certifications (preferred).11.
