Job descriptionFull time salary position at our fast-growing jewelry company in Midtown Manhattan. This role will consist of working with the current production manager at our office location. We are looking to increase our efficiency and output of fine jewelry products while maintaining a high level of quality. Prior jewelry experience is a mustResponsibilitiesAssist and consult with current production manager in all tasks related to jewelry creation, inventory management, and custom order data.Manage quality control for both for all orders to ensure quality of final manufactured piece before it is sent out to client or to our in-store displayAssist with customer service inquiries relating to repairs and re-sizings.Source diamonds, moissanite and color stones for new productions or repairsManage inventory of melee diamonds, matched pairs, and layouts of both round and fancy shape stonesSort through parcels of diamonds to choose the most desirable ones for our production purposesAssist in creation of custom orders for clients and tracking of all relevant dataAssist in creation of orders for in-store inventory and tracking of all relevant dataEnsure timeliness of all production to ensure deadlines are metOrganize data of in-process productions for easy access by sales team members and support staffLiaison between sales team and production, as well between production and outside vendorsMake pick-ups/drop-offs between office and vendors/manufactures as neededQualificationsJewelry industry experience is a mustHighly organized & detail orientedProblem solver and fast learnerAbility to work in fast paced environment and multi-taskProficient in data entry - must be able to conduct, interpret and utilize data accurately and appropriately.GIA certification is a plusBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftAbility to commute/relocate:New York, NY 10017: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Experience:Jewelry: 2 years (Required)
