An Electronic Manufacturing Services company is hiring a sales coordinator team`s supervisor in Detroit, MI. With electronic components or EMS manufacturing experience is preferred.Reports To: Branch ManagerDepartment: 200Position Summary:Oversee and direct the full range of customer service and order processing functions at branch level. Execute activities and functions as directed by the Sales Managers. The Supervisor, Sales Support, provides oversight to the Sales Coordinator team - seeking to optimize all business processes related to customer interaction and order processing through the delivery of product and services to the customer. As a working supervisor role, they will also perform the duties of a Sales Coordinator team member.Essential Functions:í˜ Provide oversight and support to the sales Coordinator team members in performance of daily processesí˜ Organize and cross train the team for maximum effectiveness and coverageí˜ Balance daily workload and coverage to ensure all customer related processes may be executed in a timely manner and due dates meetí˜ Become proficient in company software to properly execute necessary system related processesí˜ Serve as backup for Sales Coordinators to support daily processesí˜ Prepare quotes, sales order entry, purchase order entry and provide support for Sales Managersí˜ Develop/maintain strong relationships and ensure timely communications with appropriate staff, and all levels of personnel within the company, including senior managementí˜ Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability when assigned additional responsibilities or projectsSecondary Functions:í˜ Other projects as assigned by managementQualifications and Competencies:Knowledge and Skills:Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn concepts especially related to EMS servicesBasic understanding of common business practices in the areas of sales cycles, customer service, accounting, pricing, purchasing, shipping, and billingExperience with inventory control; ability to research and reconcile inventory discrepanciesExperience with order entry, quoting or business software toolsAbility to interpret customers' requests accurately and issue clear instructions to other departmentsStrong attention to detailProven ability to manage peopleAble to work independently, but within a team environmentAble to function in a fast-paced, dynamic organizationAbility to empower employees to maximize utilization of resourcesAbility to deal effectively with conflictExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to prioritize and meet work deadlinesAbility to independently research, analyze, and resolve problemsPlanning and organization; ability to plan and manage multiple projectsAbility to work in a collaborative environment with cross-functional department managers for purpose of improving service levels, driving efficiencyCreative thinker and independent problem solverExcellent organization and record keeping skillsMust be highly proficient with MS Excel (Pivot tables, V-Lookup, Macros, Formulas)Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers, customers/vendors, and management.Present a positive professional image to all levels of the organization, treating all with dignity, respect, and courtesyEducation/Experience Requirements:í˜ Certificate in Supply Chain and/or Logistics Management or equivalent experienceí˜ At least five (5) years of customer service experience (experience in the supply chain or logistics preferred)í˜ A minimum of two (2) years' supervisory experienceí˜ Competent computer skills required in order to perform essential functions listed above (high level of proficiency in Excel), proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Internet abilityPhysical Qualifications:í˜ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do detailed work using arms, hands and fingers to manipulate the required office equipment (desktop or laptop computer, and other office machines or equipment)í˜ The employee intermittently is required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, bend and reach throughout the dayí˜ Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity is neededí˜ Specific vision abilities include close and far vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focusí˜ Specific hearing abilities include the ability to hear participants in daily telephone and/or conference calls, as well as daily interaction with co-workersí˜ Specific speaking abilities include the ability to respond in daily telephone and/or conference calls, speak in presentations, as well as daily interaction with co-workersí˜ Ability to spend 80% of time sitting, speaking, listeningí˜ Ability to spend 30% of time standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, feeling, fingering, graspingí˜ Ability to spend 10% of time reaching with hands and arms, climbing, lifting, pushingí˜ Ability to spend 80% of time looking at computers or CRTí˜ Ability to lift 30 lbs.
