Construction Estimator

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing project and bid strategies. You will do so by analyzing project proposals and historical cost data. Ultimately, your work will help us develop new business opportunities.QualificationsBS or BA required, preferably in construction, management, engineering, or architecture3+ years of experience in Estimating, Construction Engineer/Project Engineer, or related duties in general contractor estimating and purchasingResponsibilitiesThe role requires continuous support to the project team with updated cost information throughout the pre-construction phase of the projectsThe Estimator will be involved in multiple projects simultaneously, necessitating strong organizational and multitasking skillsKey responsibilities include reviewing plans and architectural drawings, preparing quantity take-offs specifically for healthcare industry projects, and ensuring a thorough review of all plans and drawingsThe Estimator will identify any omitted items and ensure they are accounted for in the overall estimate packageThe role requires obtaining 3-5 bids for each trade and supplier group, reviewing and analyzing these bids for compliance with project specifications, and discussing any questions with subcontractors
