As we continue to grow, we're looking for highly motivated individuals who want to be part of an industry-leading company that values contribution, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Western Smokehouse Partners is looking for a Maintenance Manager for our 300,000 sq ft facility in Mexico, MO! The Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all maintenance activities within the plant. This includes managing a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and implementing preventative maintenance programs. The role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage resources effectively to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.Key Responsibilities:Team LeadershipSupervise and lead a team of maintenance personnel, ensuring the proper allocation of tasks and responsibilities.Provide training and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and ensure compliance with company standards. Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback for continuous improvement.Maintenance Planning & Scheduling:Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program, including preventative and corrective maintenance schedules. Coordinate and schedule regular inspections and repairs for all equipment and systems to minimize downtime. Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards.Equipment & Facility Management:Oversee the repair, replacement, and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and facilities. Ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and safely, making recommendations for upgrades or improvements when necessary. Monitor the performance of critical systems, such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.Budgeting & Cost Control:Develop and manage the maintenance departments budget, ensuring costs are controlled within approved limits. Monitor and report on the costs associated with maintenance activities, including labor, parts, and equipment.Safety & Compliance:Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.Ensure that maintenance workers follow safe work practices and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).OSHA Regulation KnowledgeTroubleshooting & Problem-Solving:Lead troubleshooting efforts for equipment breakdowns, working to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.Develop solutions to recurring maintenance issues and implement corrective actions to improve overall equipment reliability.Record-Keeping & Reporting:Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and inventory management.Prepare reports on maintenance performance, key metrics, and any issues that impact operations.Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, efficiency, and performance.Implement best practices and lean methodologies to reduce downtime and improve operational effectiveness.Understanding Root Cause AnalysisQualifications:Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in maintenance management or a related field, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role. CMMS, experience with Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel preferredTechnical Skills: Knowledge of machinery, electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems; proficiency in maintenance management software. Mechanical and electrical experience ( AC/DC controls, Drives, PLC controls) preferredLeadership: Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a proven track record of managing and motivating maintenance teams.Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with various departments and external vendors.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in various physical environments.Comfort working in environments that may include exposure to machinery, noise, and potential hazards.Working Conditions:The Maintenance Manager typically works in a factory, warehouse, or facility setting.Work hours may vary, and on-call availability may be required for emergency repairs or after-hours issues.Benefits:401(k)Dental insuranceFlexible scheduleHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceIf you're looking for a workplace where you're valued, supported, and where you'll be a part of a team that's shaping the future of meat snacks, we'd love to have you join us!
