rogram/Project Manager needed on a contract to hire basis within the IT Strategy group of our P&C insurance client. This is an onsite role in downtown NYC. Should be expert in Powerpoint and communication with senior stakeholders. Prior PMO esxperience required. This would initially require 5 days a week onsiteSummary:Duties will include collating all status, updates and risks/challenges for all IT Project initiatives "in flight" and reporting on a monthly/quarterly basis. Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to adapt to priority changes between various initiatives and align to broader business goals/objectives. Manage expectations, remove roadblocks and escalate effectively to senior management/CIO office.Ideal Candidate:Seasoned Program Manager with experience managing and coordinating status's, updates of all IT Project initiatives...including deliverables, financials, risks/challenges. Must be a keen observer, an effective listener and excellent communicator with strong influencing skills who can comfortably interface and collaborate with Executive Leadership and Senior Business LeadersRole Requirements:Define and Communicate Program Vision | Plan /Coordinate Program activities/cadenceLead/support program teams/CIO Office | Evaluate and optimize program performanceDevelop KPIs and track on an ongoing basis | Develop and manage monthly/quarterly program updates, statusMust have previous working experience and a very high-level understanding of data/excel, presentations/PPT, written skills/blogs/newsletters, reporting/preparation.Duties include building detailed project plans, keeping projects on budget, tracking progress, and analyzing project data to identify areas of improvement.Must be very detail oriented and be motivated/driven by accuracy and efficiencyWill be responsible for coordinating with different departments within the Global IT Group to gather data, preparing reports and presentations, identifying the strengths and weaknesses of existing procedures, recommending solutions.Tracking and monitoring updates, status, progress for multiple programs and projects and ensure potential issues/challenges are identified, ensuring Program/Project target goals and deadlines are met.Analyze and synthesize project information to ensure alignment and compliance with PMO standards and overall business strategyPrevious working experience or understanding of IT & Consulting work environmentsAssist in maintaining and tracking information and across multiple reports and spread sheetsResponsible for communications out to the IT teams and coordinate people and things.Must have at least 2 to 5 years of direct working experience in a PMO OfficeVertex Solutions Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, national origin, ancestry, religion, age, citizenship, sex, marital or veteran status, disability or handicap, sexual orientation or any other basis prohibited by applicable law.
