It also manufactures baked products, beverages and many more that are produced globally.Job Description / Summary:Responsible for the facilitation and/or implementation of capital and process improvement projects to resolve equipment problems, save costs, or improve effectiveness.Responsibilities:Responsible for the development and planning for such projects including setting and adhering to timelines, budgeting, ROI.Coordination of activities and resources including internal resources and outside contractorsAssist with troubleshooting and root cause analysis of mechanical and electrical problems with equipmentAssist the Maintenance Manager on safe operating practicesAssist with plant floor for improved equipment efficiencies and uptimeAssist with safety committee improvementsManage equipment improvements that directly affect efficiencies and reliabilityImprove planning for training needs and complianceProvide analysis of equipment reliability and recommendation of rebuild or replacementKeep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special serviceComplete design and development projects by working with and guiding techniciansResearching and recommending new manufacturing technology by making direct observations as well as interpreting data from other technical and operating staffUnderstand the required outcome of a particular procedure or processAssess safety and sanitation requirements for new and existing equipment and ensure that these are integrated into the processWork on various plant projects and capital equipment requests involving the startup of new operations, implementation of quality and safety improvements, and development of productivity improvements in existing products.Work closely with other engineers and technicians on development and research projects as well as capital projectsImprove equipment reliability and life cycle for future production capacity needs by working closely with production and maintenance.Required Skills/Abilities:5+ years electrical or mechanical experienceExperience with Allen Bradley PLC controls, focusing on ControlLogix, SLC, PLC5, PanelView, and PanelView PlusSAP 3-5 years of experienceProven leadership skills a must. Strong decision-making skills with ability to show discrepancy and judgementExcellent communication skillsExcellent computer skills and demonstrated proficiency in ExcelExperience working with decision-makers on business strategies and objectives.Preferred Skills:Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field or possess experience and education equivalent to such a degree5+ years of project management experienceProven record working as a business partner in a lean manufacturing environmentExperience in working with decision makers on training strategies and objectivesTekWissen® Group is an equal opportunity employer supporting workforce diversity.
