Facilities Technician Intern

Position Summary: We are seeking a driven, responsible facilities technician intern to join our growing organization. In this position, you will be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of the Maintenance Team and Chef's Warehouse/Alen Brothers daily routines and procedures.The internship will be from May 27th through August 13thWhat you'll do:Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk and hearThe employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and armsThe employee is occasionally required to stand and walkAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manualsAbility to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organizationAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAbility to compute rate, ratio, and percentage, and to draw and interpret bar graphsUse of hand tools and power toolsRun general industry related errandsResearch and gather documentation on company positions in the industryAttend company functions and networking eventsAbout you:Must be enrolled in an accredited university/college in Junior or Senior year OR Skilled Trades program/courseAt least 18 years of ageYour degree/program should be business relatedAvailability to work a hybrid schedule 40 hours/week throughout summer break.Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsSelf-directed and able to work without supervisionEnergetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
