Metrology TechnicianMaple Grove, MN12 MonthsKey Responsibilities• Experience with metrology. Specifically, developing dimensional measurement methods for manufactured medical device products.• Prior experience making measurement programs with measurement systems For this role, programming Keyence IM, Keyence LM, and Visicon equipment would be most helpful.• Prior experience with other measurement systems would also be helpful, including SmartScope, CMM (Zeiss, Hexagon), CT Scanner, O-Inspect, Keyence VK, VR, VH, VL, Xand GX.Experience developing measurement recipes using measurement equipment. Familiarity with different software tools and good practices when developing inspection recipes. Examples include the use of data, pattern matching tools, and when automated versus operator-assisted inspections are best.• Print interpretation - experience reviewing tooling and component prints, and understanding what the inspection requirements are. Understanding of GD&T inspection requirements is a plus.• Data analysis - determining pass/fail dispositioning of parts based on measurement results.Sorted measurement data in Microsoft Excel and calculated simple statistics (min/max/ave), conditional formatting, and pivot tables. Experience with Minitab is a plus.• Experimentation - experience conducting experiments, varying process inputs, and testing for different outputs. Experience conducting GR&R tests.* Fixture design - Experience working with CAD designers to design fixtures for processing parts on a production line, or positioning parts for inspection. Experience designing in Solidworks is a plus.• Documentation - experience writing documents like work instructions, inspection reports, tooling qualification documents, and recipe qualification documents. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Teamwork - experience working on a team in a manufacturing setting to achieve the goals of the project. Take work direction from engineers, and work with minimal oversight.Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and operators to understand the best next steps on the project.
