Chisholm Law Group, LLC, a dynamic, growing, multi-practice boutique law firm in Bethesda, Maryland, is hiring an experienced paralegal for our growing Estate and Trust Administration practice. We are currently seeking a probate and trust administration paralegal with3 or more years of experience assisting attorneys in administering estates and trusts in Maryland, Virginia, or the District of Columbia. Previous experience as an auditor or clerk with the Maryland Register of Wills, Virginia Commissioner of Account, or District of Columbia Register of Wills is a plus. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, is detail-oriented, and possesses superior analytical, writing, and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will gain experience through working with and being mentored by the firm's attorneys and will have significant contact with clients, other attorneys, court personnel, and others.DutiesAssist with the administration of estates and trusts and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Conduct legal research using Westlaw and other resources to support decision-making processes related to estate and trust administration matters.Prepare detailed reports, correspondence, and documentation pertaining to estate and trust administration activities.Maintain organized files and records using a variety of software.Meet with fiduciaries or other individuals to gather necessary information.Demonstrate professional etiquette while communicating with clients, courts, and other people involved in trust and estate administration matters.ExperienceProven experience in a paralegal role, preferably with a law firm, financial institution, or trust company (3 Yrs. Min. Experience Required).Familiarity with estate and trust administration principles and practices is a plus.Demonstrated ability to work well as a team member with others.Experience with document management systems is advantageous.Strong writing skills with the ability to produce clear and concise documents.Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
