About BeHeard:BeHeard is a seed-stage company located in the Bay Area, founded by Mayank Mehta and Aneesh Karve. BeHeard is a superconductor between businesses and their customers for feedback. We use considerate AI agents to gather deep insights throughout the customer journey, direct executives to improve their offerings, and boost revenues, reimagining what an AI-native feedback would be for businesses.We are just starting to work with some local and global companies in the Bay Area and would love to work with interns who want to learn how companies get going from scratch. You will play a critical role in gathering and analyzing valuable consumer feedback that directly impacts our business success.Position Overview:BeHeard is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Consumer Feedback & Insights Intern to assist in conducting interviews and analyzing consumer behavior for leading retail brands. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in market research and consumer analysis, while directly contributing to strategic recommendations for well-known brands.As an intern, you will focus on collecting and synthesizing feedback from consumers who visit these stores, especially those who leave without making a purchase. Your findings will help these brands improve their in-store experience, product offerings, and customer service.This is a paid internship.Key Responsibilities:Conducting Consumer Interviews:Interview 100 prospects and customers across key brandsFocus on consumers who left without making a purchaseAsk targeted questions to understand:The purpose of their visit.Whether they found what they were looking for.Their reasons for not purchasing.Suggestions for store improvement.Any other feedback they wish to share about the brand.Ensure interviews are recorded and accurately documented.Synthesize Insights:Analyze the feedback gathered from interviews for each brand.Identify key trends, recurring themes, and actionable insights for these brands.Organize and categorize feedback into clear, understandable insights.Highlight areas of opportunity for each brand to enhance their customer experience.Create Brand Presentations:Develop compelling presentations based on synthesized insights.Tailor each presentation to the specific brand, outlining:Key findings from the interviews.Consumer feedback on store experience.Actionable recommendations for improvements.Ensure presentations are visually appealing, concise, and informative for senior management at these global brands.Feedback gathering:Develop and test multiple methods for in-store feedback collection for easy consumer accessIncrease the depth and frequency of feedback from customers and prospects----What You'll Gain:Hands-on experience in consumer research and analysis.Exposure to industry-leading brands and retail strategies.Opportunities to develop interviewing and communication skills.Insight into the intersection of consumer behavior, marketing, and retail strategy.Experience creating data-driven presentations for senior executives.A chance to make a direct impact on brand strategies and consumer experience improvement.Requirements:Currently pursuing a degree in Psychology, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to conduct structured interviews.Excellent analytical skills and the ability to synthesize qualitative data.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.A passion for consumer behavior, retail, and brand strategy.Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.A passion for start-ups and all things tech and people.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in conducting interviews or surveys is a plus.Knowledge of or interest in the tech, beauty, and retail industries.Application Process:To apply for this internship, please submit your resume and a short email outlining your interest and why you would be a great fit for the BeHeard team. mayank@.
