Senior Financial Analyst - Manufacturing

Company/Role *****CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) Search has been retained by a Chemical Manufacturing client to identify a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team due to a relocation.This person will be responsible for partnering across departments, providing decision support, financial modeling and establishing cost standards and key drivers for the company as well as monitoring the operational performance against these standards. This position participates in periodic reviews with Management and reports key data on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.What You'll DoThis role will help drive business intelligence activities through development and maintenance of metrics and KPI to assess performance across the organizationThis individual will work on continuous improvement in accuracy, accountability and transparency by developing and connecting operational drivers to performanceExpertise in assessing, understanding, collecting, developing and analyzing data for departmental and management reportingPartnering with multiple stakeholders to help identify and implement best practices across the organizationAnalyze actual manufacturing costs against standards/budget; research and explain variances; report this information as required; highlight issues for management actionsParticipates in budget development, maintenance, reporting and analysis of fixed assets and inventory and other plant activitiesMaintains product pricing/costing models and reports on overall customer profitabilityTimely analyzes and prepares customer/broker rebate obligationsPerform ad-hoc cost analysis to support business operationsWhat You'll Need3-7 years of experience; manufacturing experience is requiredBachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA, CPA or CMA desiredStrong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to effectively work with all levels of staff within the companySolid planning and organizational skills; able to consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentHigh level of proficiency using technology (advanced Excel, SAP B1, Red Zone)Must demonstrate strong problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
