Trusts and Estate Paralegal (1+ years)Avelino Law, LLP is a boutique law firm specializing in trusts and estates, located in Florham Park, New Jersey. As a Trust and Estates Paralegal at Avelino Law, you will play a key role in supporting attorneys by assisting in the drafting of estate planning documents, managing the probate process, and guiding clients throughout the estate/trust administration process. You will work closely with both clients and attorneys to ensure that all legal documents are prepared accurately, processes are followed efficiently, and clients receive the highest level of service and support.Key Responsibilities:Gather and organize information from clients to help prepare for the preparation of estate planning documents.Draft and prepare estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.Assist in the administration of estates including preparation and filing of probate petitions, notice of probate and proof of mailing, refunding bond and releases, inventories, and accountings.Gather and organize estate assets and liabilities.Coordinate with appraisers, accountants, and financial institutions regarding estate assets.Assist in the preparation and filing of estate and inheritance tax returns.Maintain accurate and organized client files and records.Ensure compliance with deadlines and court requirements during the probate process.Assist in preparing documents for the distribution of assets to beneficiaries following the terms of decedent's Will and/or Trust.Communicate with clients, financial institutions, and other professionals on behalf of the attorneys and client.Provide administrative support, including scheduling, client follow-up, and correspondence.Qualifications:Education: Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).Experience: 1+ years of experience in New Jersey and New York as a Trust and Estates Paralegal, with strong knowledge of probate, estate planning, and trust administration.Certification: Paralegal certification (preferred, but not required).Skills:In-depth knowledge of trust and estate law, including estate planning, probate procedures, and tax laws.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive client information.Why Join Avelino Law?Competitive Salary & Benefits: Enjoy a competitive salary along with a comprehensive benefits package.Career Growth: Opportunities for ongoing training and professional development in the estate planning and probate fields.Supportive Team Environment: Work in a collaborative and supportive environment where your contributions are valued.Work-Life Balance: We prioritize a healthy work-life balance and offer flexibility to accommodate personal and professional needs.To apply e-mail resume to: recruiting@.Avelino Law is an equal opportunity employer.
