Collections Manager

A well-established organization is seeking an experienced Collections Manager with a background in collections support to secure payment arrangements and lead a team of collection agents.Responsibilities **Pursue payment collection on overdue accounts and compile a roster of those individuals with outstanding payments.Engage in discussions with customers to establish feasible repayment plans.Manage and evaluate the Repossession Process Maintain detailed records of each contact attempt and its outcome.Create payoff letters upon customer request.Demonstrate adept multitasking skills for handling multiple cases.Identify account status and use appropriate collection techniques.Comply with collection policies, various state and federal laws, rules, and regulations governing credit and collections.Locate customers through acceptable skip-tracing techniques.Analyze customer financial information.Apply payments received to proper accounts and make necessary adjustments or corrections.Determine the most effective means of collecting for each account.**3-5 years of Recovery/Post Charge-Off Collections experience.Smart, resourceful, and creative problem solver.Stable employment record and Ability to always maintain outstanding attendance.Detail-oriented and outstanding organizational skills.A college degree is a plus.Proficiency in both English and Spanish.Basic knowledge of accounting.Proficient with Excel.Has managed a teamKey SkillsTime management and organizational skills.Exceptional verbal and written communication as well as negotiation and listening. Ability to easily establish rapport and credibility with customers.Work leadership, data gathering, and financial analysis skills.
