General SuperintendentThe successful candidate will have the ability to be an expert in all aspects of construction. They are competent in base building concrete and building shell, interior CSA and MEP work, commissioning, and project closeout. They are mentors to the project team members, and they actively work to build the team through both individual development and recruiting new team members. They oversee the schedules of their projects and manage the teams to make sure the jobs are completed on time. The Sr. Superintendent is capable of running very large projects or multiple projects simultaneously. They work with their safety committee to establish policies and implement them in projects.Daily Goals· Network with existing and potential clients· Actively pursue new projects· Respond to RFPs and develop scheduled/logistics plans for RFPs· Mentor others on superintendent team· Walks projects daily· Conduct a site safety walk every week· Review project schedules in weekly update meetings· Manage primary project(s) on a day-to-day basisCore Competencies· Able to run very large projects 100M+· Fully understand both the CSA and MEP aspects of base build and fit-out construction· Extensive background in all types of construction - Data Center, Healthcare, Commercial, higher education, etc.· Is a mentor to all members of the team: Superintendents, Foremen, Assistant Superintendents· Understand pros and cons of different construction elements and can speak from experience in those areas (liquid-cooled vs air-cooled, etc.)· Manages the timely closeout of the projecto Works with all the members of the Project team to close out on time· Point of contact with the client and manage satisfaction with the results of the project· Work with the architects and engineers to ensure a quality installation· Manage and drive the Design Build phase of projects· Actively develop business leads with existing and new contacts· Engage in the construction industry outside of Megawatt activities· Build and manage the project team as a mature, guiding hand for the team· Address HR issues and be someone people on the project can reach out to with issues· Listen, be approachable and responsive· Humble, confident, selfless, kind· Creative vision for the company· Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills· Inspire others to stretch themselves and reach new potential· Teach planning and scheduling processeso Help with pull planning and other scheduling tools· Lead RFP responses and presents in business meetings· Lead the safety teams on the projectso Motivate others for an injury-free safety cultureo Involved in delivering safety training· Oversee day-to-day operations and recording of daily reports· Develops and spreads positive Megawatt cultureExperience· 15 years minimum construction experience· Journeyman or Bachelor's DegreeEDUCATION AND TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum 15 years of construction experienceBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering a plusData Center experience a plusWe have ongoing new needs in Santa Clara CA, Hillsboro OR, Houston TX and Ashburn VA.EEOC & DFEH Statement:We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
