RPStaffing is conducting an immediate direct `hire search for the Sponsorship and Tradeshow Associate with a major nonprofit association based in Washington, DC. Candidates must be currently living in the Washington DC areaJob Title: Sponsorship and Tradeshow Associate Status: Direct-Hire Office Status: Hybrid Weekly Hybrid Schedule: Two days onsite/ three days remote Compensation: $65,000 to $72,000Classification: Exempt DutiesDevelops and maintains positive relationships with sponsors and exhibitors.Manages all aspects of the organization's sponsorship program for three conferences, including pre-planning, promotion, negotiating and executing contracts, tracking, administration, logistics, and implementation.Manages all aspects of the organization's two trade shows, including pre-planning, promotion, sales, tracking, administration, logistics, and implementation.Actively researches and recruits new industry partners to sponsor, exhibit, and advertise in support of the organization's conferences. Collaborate with staff to advance relationships as appropriateEvaluates exhibitor and sponsor satisfaction and relays this information to management.Responsible for staying abreast of best practices and trends in trade show and sponsorship management and suggesting new strategies and fresh ideas. Plans an annual prospectus of sponsorship, exhibiting, and advertising opportunities at conferences, collaborating with staff to add value to the program.Contributes to the development of sponsorship, trade show, and advertising annual targets and budgets.Tracks and monitors trade show and sponsor expenses.Works closely with the trade show servicer, reviewing contracts and orders, handling logistics, and serving as a liaison between the organization and the servicer.Researches and assists in the planning and execution of sponsored events and collateral for conferences. Vesting schedule is 30 percent after year two; 60 percent after year three; and 100 percent after year four. (Year one is the first July 1-June 30 period during which the employee works 1,000+ hours).401(k) PlanEmployees may enroll immediately in the Associations voluntary 401(k) plan. Please see the Director of Finance and Operations for specific annual contribution limits and more information.Medical InsuranceCurrently, the Association covers approximately 89 percent of the cost of medical, dental, vision, mental health, and prescription drug premiums for individual employees. Individual staff contribute the remaining 11 percent via pre-tax payroll deduction. Staff who elect family coverage (including Staff/Spouse, Family, and Staff/Child) contribute 26 percent of the total cost of their premiums via pre-tax payroll deduction, with the Association covering approximately 74 percent. Medical coverage is provided through Carefirst BlueCross BlueShield via the DC Health Exchange. Please see the Director of Finance and Operations for specific information.Life Insurance Employee is provided life insurance in the amount of $40,000. The premium for such coverage is currently covered 100% by the Association.Long-Term Disability (Group) InsuranceLong-Term Disability: Sixty (60) percent of basic monthly salary, with a maximum of $6,000 per month, beginning on 90th day after onset of disability.Prior to that time, employee is entitled to use sick and/or annual leave to the extent it is accrued. The premium is currently covered 100% by the Association.Flexible Spending PlanThe Association offers enrollment in a Flexible Spending Plan run through WageWorks. This Plan allows employees to contribute up to $3,300 (health care) and up to $5,000 (dependent care) of pre-tax money from their paycheck to be used for eligible health care and/or dependent care expenses. Pay PeriodBiweekly pay (every other Wednesday) by direct deposit to a bank or banks of employee's choice. Annual LeaveAnnual leave accrues as follows:During Year 1 10 days (at 2.89 hours per pay period)After Year 1 15 days (at 4.33 hours per pay period)After Year 5 20 days (at 5.77 hours per pay period)Employees are expected to take their paid vacation time as a means of rest and diversion for themselves and their families. Therefore, employees are encouraged to use vacation leave during the fiscal year it is earned. In the event that an employee is unable to use earned vacation time, he/she may carry over a maximum of 225 hours (30 days) as of June 30 (last day of fiscal year).Sick/Personal LeaveSick leave accrues at a rate of 3.75 hours per pay period, the equivalent of 13 days per year. Unused sick leave may be carried over and used in another year.Staff are allowed to use up to five (5) sick days per fiscal year for personal reasons.HolidaysAssociation observes all federal government holidays and the Friday after Thanksgiving, for a total of 12 days.Metro SmartBenefitsAssociation offers employees the option to deduct up to the IRS limit per month (currently $325 per month in 2025) as a pre-tax payroll deduction for Metro SmartBenefits. SmartBenefits can be used on Metrorail, Metrobus, MARC Rail, VRE, county and commuter buses, and qualified vanpool services.
